About

I am a 20-something living in New York City, I’m currently working in public health (a field that mildly frustrates me) and I’m in the middle of the very frustrating process of applying to medical school for MD/PhD (Neuroscience) programs.

I am interested in philosophy, bioethics, neuroethics, cognitive science, psychology, public health, medicine, and much more.

This blog is just a way for me to explore my views, vent my frustrations, and mull over ideas. It is also supposed to be a respite for my poor boyfriend and a certain ex co-worker who have to listen to me rant about these things and then try and debate them. This way I can talk to myself without seeming completely crazy!

It is in no way meant to offend or force my views on others; feel free to debate with me on topics I post about. I love debates; they open my mind to new ways of thinking and different points of view.

Also, please don’t by shy about commenting on older posts. Just because they are a month or two old doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t still bother me. Disagree with me or add to the discussion on old posts as well as new ones!

All the views posted here are exclusively my own and in no way reflect those of any other entity.

Oh, and have a picture of my two cats because they keep me company while I write and I aspire to be a cat lady.

  1. Thank you for following “A Way With Words.” My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what I’ve written (and even more as they respond).

I write primarily about faith and mental illness, but I’m also known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please let me know.

I appreciate what you have going here on your blog and pray you are blessed in your life and writing as you bless others.

    Gratefully,
    Tony Roberts
